Africa's largest economy is failing to keep inflation under control.

Nigeria's inflation accelerated to 16.5% in June, up from 15.6% in the previous month, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

That's the highest rate since October 2005 and above economists' expectations of an increase to 16.2%, according to the Bloomberg consensus.

The sharp increase in inflation comes after Nigeria finally did the painful thing everyone said it had to do: unpeg the naira from the US dollar. Читать дальше...

Microsoft has something big to prove when it reports quarterly earnings on Tuesday. 

Not only did the company whiff on its last earnings in April, but slow growth in its all-important cloud computing business left many investors skeptical. The result: a cratering stock price from which it's only now starting to recover.

The company plans to bring its self-driving cars to the masses by launching its first driverless on the Lyft platform, Pam Fletcher, executive chief engineer of autonomous tech at GM, told Tech Insider.

Yahoo just disclosed that its headcount is now at 8,800 in total, down 2,100 compared to the same period of last year.

That's largely due to the 15% layoff announced in February, which calls for Yahoo to cut roughly 1,600 Yahoo employees by the end of this year.
