The Airports Council International (ACI) recently released its list of the busiest airports in the world. Once again, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) took the top spot, with more than 100 million passengers in 2015. According to the ACI, this represents an increase in traffic of over 5.5% over 2014. The trade group attributes Atlanta's success to its strategic location, where it is within a two-hour flight of 80% of the US population. In addition... The "Game of Thrones" team was much more relaxed during the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, in contrast to last year's event, where they faced backlash about rape depictions and avoided questions about Jon Snow's fate.

But, their laid back attitude this year might be thanks to Sansa Stark.

There are plenty of picture-perfect spots in New Zealand, but none quite as Instagram-worthy as Baldwin Street in Dunedin, also known as the steepest street in the world.

The street is only 350 meters long, but for every 2.86 horizontal meters, there is a rise of one meter. In other words, though the street itself is less than a quarter mile long, for every ~9 horizontal feet you walk, you're climbing about three feet.

Evidence of "widespread" cheating has emerged in a Chinese program designed to help foreign students gain admission into US schools, according to an investigation by Reuters.

The program, called the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC), can cost more than $10,000 a year and helps foreign students whose first language is not English prepare for college and ace the ACT college entrance examination.

The Jose Mourinho era at Old Trafford has barely begun and he has already made one rule that has many raising their eyebrows: players are not allowed to play Pokémon GO in the days leading up to a match.

According to a source for John Mahoney of the UK Daily Star, the new manager of Manchester United has instituted a rule saying his players are not allowed to play Pokémon GO in the 48 hours leading up to a game.

Comic-Con has gifted us with a new trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," the beginning of a Harry Potter spinoff movie trilogy written by J.K. Rowling herself.

At San Diego Comic-Con on Friday afternoon, the "Game of Thrones" panel revealed that the director of perhaps the best episodes in the show’s history hopes to come back for season eight.

Miguel Sapochnik directed both "Hardhome" in season five as well as the epic "Battle of the Bastards" and season finale "Winds of Winter" in season six. Fans were devastated when Entertainment Weekly announced the directors slated for next season, and Sapochnik wasn’t on the list.

The bull market in U.S. Treasuries looks set to mark its 35th anniversary this fall—assuming it continues. It has been a good run, with investors enjoying attractive returns from their bond portfolios over the years. Ten-year U.S. Treasury yields peaked at 15.84% on September 30, 1981 and fell to a modern-era low of 1.36% on July 8, 2016. (Remember, falling yields reflect rising prices.)

Back in 2013, a 9-year-old named Joshua Chamberlain, from Northamptonshire, England, had an assignment to write a letter to the author of a book. And so, he sent a letter to Alan Moore, the famed author of "Watchmen," "V for Vendetta," and "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen."

"All in all you are the best author in human history," Joshua wrote. "Please write back."

On Monday, Yahoo agreed to sell its core internet business to Verizon for $4.8 billion, putting an end to its 20-year history as a standalone company.

The sale to Verizon drew nostalgic responses from Wall Street investors, including RBC Capital, which characterized the deal as an "ignominious end for Yahoo, which used to be the Facebook or Google of the internet circa 1999."

A recent Nike ad called "Unlimited Future" is drawing criticism online.

The ad, which debuted on YouTube, is stirring controversy because it invokes the imagery of a sweatshop. Nike was criticized in the 1990s for allegedly using factories with poor working conditions. The company eventually apologized for failing to monitor factories.

The video, which has over 7 million views, comes equipped with the tagline: "Champions weren't born champions. They were born babies."

From franchise classics like "The Fast and The Furious" featuring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, to original series such as Baz Luhrmann's "The Get Down," the month will be dotted with exciting releases.

Netflix just released its list of the titles being removed from the streaming service starting on August 1.

First on the chopping block are the 1993 sports comedy "The Sandlot" and "The Nutty Professor," Eddie Murphy's 1996 comic sci-fi film. Toward the end of the month, the 2006 Denzel Washington thriller "Inside Man" and Will Smith's film "Pursuit of Happyness" from the same year will be among the films taken out of Netflix's rotation.

Amazon

Amazon says that the most recent Prime Day extravaganza of sales and specials was also the biggest day ever in the history of the company. 

To deal with that huge shopping day, the retailer's systems engineers had to "[add] capacity that was equal to all of AWS and Amazon.com back in 2009," Amazon's Jeff Barr writes in a new blog entry.

Fedor Konyukhov, a 65-year-old Russian adventurer, set a new world record over the weekend, becoming the fastest person to ever circumnavigate the entire globe in a hot-air balloon.

Konyukhov took off from Australia on July 12 in a $2 million balloon. Eleven days later, he emerged from the clouds, having traveled approximately 21,000 miles around the world. His 11-day journey beat the late Steve Fossett's previous world record by two days.
