MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Friday that Marquette University shouldn’t have fired a conservative professor over his blog post that criticized a student instructor he believed shut down discussion about opposition to gay marriage. ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A Copper Center man died after he was shot by at least one Alaska State Trooper. The Department of Public Safety did not immediately release how many troopers were involved or how many responded to the home in the Richardson Highway community of 300. GURDON, Ark. (AP) — A 19-year-old Arkansas man has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the shooting death of another man last month. Clark County Sheriff Jason Watson says Bryson Deaton was arrested without incident Thursday at his home in Gurdon, in southwestern Arkansas. He was being held without bond Friday at the Clark County jail. Deaton was wanted in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man identified by Watson as Charles Alden Niederbrach Jr. of Gurdon. TORONTO (AP) — Canadian police say someone has been arrested and charged in connection with an April bus crash involving a junior hockey team. Royal Canadian Mounted Police did not immediately release the person's name on Friday. The crash occurred when a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos hockey team collided with a semi-trailer in Saskatchewan on April 6. Sixteen people were killed and 13 others injured.
