BROOKLYN, Iowa (AP) — Investigators say they have searched a pig farm and other places in east-central Iowa near where a University of Iowa student went missing, but have turned up no sign of her. Station KCCI-TV reports that the pig farm is near Guernsey, about 15 minutes from 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts' hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa. The Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had net income of 33 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 48 cents per share. The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 43 cents per share. The computer network equipment maker posted revenue of $1.2 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts.

SEATTLE (AP) — Starbucks says a key sales figure grew only modestly in the U.S. during the second quarter. The chain says sales rose just 1 percent at established domestic locations during the period. In China, that figure declined 2 percent. For the quarter, the company reported a net income on Thursday of $852.5 million. On a per-share basis, the Seattle-based company said it had profit of 61 cents. (AP) — The auctioneer selling the house where Rosa Parks sought refuge after fleeing the South amid death threats says there are buyers interested, but it will take a few days to work out the details. Guernsey's auctioned the house in New York on Thursday, with a minimum bid of $1 million.
