INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana has a new wine trail for wine lovers interested in exploring some of the state's numerous wineries. The Indiana Grown program that's run by the State Department of Agriculture has unveiled the new trail featuring 30 locations set amid rolling hills, scenic towns and cities across the state. Agency director Bruce Kettler says the Indiana Grown Wine Trail is geared toward people who enjoy locally produced wines. Each participating winery puts its own twist on a variety of wine styles. NEW YORK (AP) — It was quite a ride, but not the one they were expecting. Riders on the Coney Island Cyclone got an unexpected trip on Saturday, when the famous amusement park attraction temporarily lost power. CBS New York reports cars on the wooden roller coaster slowed to a stop. Luna Park, which operates the Cyclone said personnel guided guests back to the ground without incident. Power was restored and the ride was back up and running after about two hours.

DETROIT (AP) — A group of 12 individuals and organizations whose projects aim to strengthen their communities have been selected for a Detroit-area talent development program. The New Economy Initiative says its Detroit Innovation Fellowship will promote and invest in so-called social entrepreneurs in Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park. McALESTER, Okla. (AP) — Corrections officials say a 57-year-old inmate serving time for burglary has walked away from a southeastern Oklahoma prison. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says Morgan L. Mitzner was last seen around 3:50 a.m. Sunday at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester, about 105 miles (169 kilometers) southeast of Oklahoma City. POWELL, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming wildlife biologists have mounted an emergency effort to locate and identify bat species across the state, following the discovery of a fungus that causes fatal white-nose syndrome in the animals. The Powell Tribune says as part of the state's efforts, recordings will be collected in areas known to have bats to determine what species are present. FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration says no American Airlines flights took off nationwide for about 40 minutes Sunday because of an outage at the carrier's main operating system and dispatch operation. Fort Worth-based American says in a statement the airline "experienced a brief connectivity issue" with one of its data centers and that all operations were returning to normal. NILES, Mich. (AP) — Police in southwestern Michigan say a 24-year-old man was killed in a high-speed crash that happened while he was fleeing from a sheriff's deputy. The Berrien County Sheriff's Office says a deputy tried to stop a suspected drunken driver in Niles when the vehicle fled Saturday evening. The department says the vehicle sideswiped another vehicle and then topped 100 mph as it left the city just north of South Bend, Indiana. SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a man swimming after lifeguards had gone off duty was pulled from the Atlantic Ocean and later pronounced dead. Suffolk County police say Juan Martinez, 53, of Manorville, New York, was swimming at Smith Point County Park in Shirley, New York, around 8 p.m. Saturday when he became distressed and went under water. Police officers removed him from the ocean and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The county medical examiner will determine a cause of death.

ELYRIA, Ohio (AP) — Attorneys for an Ohio man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend have filed a motion for him to plead "not guilty by reason of temporary mental defect." The Chronicle-Telegram reports 57-year-old Roy Owens Jr. argues a head injury he suffered more than 25 years ago was a factor in the case. Owens is charged with aggravated murder and other counts in Linnea Satterfield's 2017 slaying. Defense attorney J. Anthony Rich says the Elyria man suffered a brain aneuryism in the 1990s, resulting in surgeries to his brain's frontal lobe.

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — A counselor at a Duluth facility that serves at-risk youth is accused of trading contraband for sex acts with teens. Twenty-eight-year-old Mark David Painter appeared in court Friday on felony charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Bail was set at $150,000. HAVERHILL, N.H. (AP) — A small plane has crashed in the Connecticut River in New Hampshire. The Federal Aviation Administration told WMUR-TV that a Searey aircraft crashed at 1:20 p.m. in the river near Haverhill. New Hampshire Fish and Game says the two people on board were removed from the plane. There is no word yet on injuries.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) — West Allis police say a car fleeing a traffic stop hit a pedestrian and kept going. The crash happened early Sunday. The West Allis police officer who was pursuing the car stopped to help the pedestrian, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Authorities say the same car had fled from an earlier traffic stop in Waukesha County. A West Allis officer spotted the car around 2 a.m. and tried to stop it.
