A 54-year-old Alameda woman was charged with murder and elder abuse after she allegedly confessed to shooting her 73-year-old boyfriend in the head while he slept last week, prosecutors said. Donna Marie Qualls was arrested around 10:45 p.m. Thursday evening after police responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the 700 block of Buena Vista Avenue, according to court documents.
