(AP) — A Portland woman struck by a drunken driver in a crosswalk has filed a lawsuit seeking $4,600 for the designer clothes she was wearing at the time, on top of the cost of her medical bills. Several Portland attorneys said they have never had a client seek compensation for designer clothes, but it isn't outside the realm of possibility.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — A grand jury on Wednesday indicted a truck driver accused of crashing into a limo van last year on the New Jersey Turnpike, injuring comedian Tracy Morgan and killing one of his comic friends. LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Police are looking for two women they say stole thousands of dollars' worth of baby formula from Utah stores. SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah lawmakers are working on a $2 million pilot program to attract and keep teachers in remote public schools near American Indian reservations, where turnover can top 50 percent. (AP) — An internal investigation has found that a Veterans Affairs medical center in Leavenworth used unauthorized wait lists, but didn't substantiate claims the lists were used to falsify wait times for veterans. A San Francisco police motorcycle officer was struck and injured Wednesday morning in a collision near the city’s Hall of Justice, officials said. The officer was said to be conscious after suffering non-life-threatening injuries. According to initial reports, a silver Chrysler minivan with struck the police motorcycle at Seventh and Harrison streets in the South of Market area after possibly running a red light, officials said.
