LGBT mural defaced — again — in S.F.’s Mission District
Workers and volunteers from Galeria de la Raza had replaced the artwork titled “Por Vida” or “For Life” on the corner of 24th and Bryant streets Thursday, three days after vandals first scrawled blue and red paint over the work. The art, created by Manuel Paul of Los Angeles’ Maricon Collective, prompted fierce comments on social media, with some threatening to trash the work before it even went up.
