(AP) — The University of Missouri Panhellenic Association is proposing an education plan to help sororities prevent sexual assaults on campus. The plan also calls for requiring sorority chapter leaders to be trained to handle reports of sexual violence in their chapters and establishing peer educators. The peer educators would be from each sorority's pledge class who would receive additional training on how to address sexual assault and, in turn, help educate other new members.

Former Heisman Trophy winner John David Crow, a running back who earned the last of his four Pro Bowl berths with the 49ers, died Wednesday night at 79. Mr. Crow, the No. 2 overall pick of the Chicago Cardinals in 1958, spent the final four seasons of his 11-year career with the 49ers. Officers searching for two killers who escaped from an upstate New York prison say they are checking abandoned buildings, seasonal camps and railroad beds.
