In contrast, there was an update on the ankle injury of young forward Ethan Havard, who has been sidelined since Wigan’s Coral Challenge Cup defeat to Leeds in September.

“We’ve got to clarify the extent of the injury. He’s got a high ankle sprain, so we need to find out to what level that could be.

“It’s between 6-12 weeks as we understand it now.

Just been watching preview of programme being shown tomorrow night about Rob. Absolutely heartbreaking to watch him and his young family coping with this horrendous disease. But my God what a brave man and what a hero. Wish him all the luck in the world and I think all rugby league related people admire him so much.

This is not a dig at the club, just stating facts. Why would he not go. We have 14 players for next season, our rivals have all improved their squads, even if we did start recruiting, we are behind those sides around us and the pickings are probably slim (all the good stuff will be taken). Would not blame him.

Showing an incredible improvement this season, played exceptionally well on Friday, a lot more to come as well as his confidence grows I suspect. Could develop into a special player with a bit of luck, which given I had fears he would go the same way as R Evans shows what I know.

Difficult to know what to expect for the re-match.

After a magnificent effort from the boys last week, we take on Saints on Thursday.
Best hope it doesnt go to golden point or folk may need to look in through the pub window (assuming that the pubs are still open).

BBC 2 7 pm. He was the one guy I always looked for on the Leeds team sheet, it was always a big relief if he was not playing, probably one of the most elusive players in the game.
