The stock market is off to its worst start to a year ever, and that has some investors worried.

The extreme worry may actually indicate that it is about to get better, according to Liz Ann Sonders at Charles Schwab.

HAVANA (Reuters) - Colombia's government and leftist FARC rebels agreed on Tuesday to ask the United Nations Security Council to help monitor and verify a rebel disarmament should the two sides reach a final peace deal to end their 50-year-old war.

In the near future, Macy's stores could turn into discount outlets. 

CEO Terry Lundgren told CNBC that the brand is planning to put some of the "Backstage" stores in its existing retail locations this year. 

The stores will sell Macy's brands at steeply discounted prices — up to 80% off. This model copies highly successful brands like TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack.

The world’s oceans are warming at a quickening rate, with the past 20 years accounting for half of the increase in ocean heat content that has occurred since pre-industrial times, a new study has found.

Members of Coldplay are fondly remembering the late David Bowie, even though he once insulted their music.

In an interview with NME, Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland and drummer Will Champion looked back on the musical legacy Bowie left behind and recalled a time when they once asked him to collaborate with them on a track.

Emails that passed through Hillary Clinton's private server while she served as Secretary of State reportedly contained intelligence so sensitive it has since been marked beyond "top secret," Fox News reported Tuesday.

The network reported on the contents of a letter authored by Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III. The January 14 letter to senior lawmakers has not yet been made public.

Delta Air Lines is thinking about placing an order for Bombardier's flagship C-Series airliner.

"We actually think for the right price, it's quite an impressive airplane," Delta CEO Richard Anderson said today during the company's earnings call.
