ROME, N.Y. (AP) — Police in upstate New York have arrested three suspects for breaking into a parked car and then assaulting the owner and another man who came to his aid. A 15-year-old male also was arrested and turned over to the police juvenile aid division.

Since 2013, the Office of Campaign and Political Finance has settled 11 such cases, with nine of those resolved in just the past two years alone. The law also bans most businesses from contributing to candidates, political action committees or parties — either directly or indirectly.
