Series of car crashes in SF leaves one dead, five injured
A 65-year-old man was identified by police Tuesday after he was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash that also left a woman injured — one of three car wrecks that plagued San Francisco streets over the weekend, officials said. Lanqing Dong, a resident of China, was struck and killed while crossing Valdez Avenue at Monterey Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.
