WASHINGTON (AP) — Medicare says it's planning to tighten oversight of opioid drugs prescribed to millions of elderly and disabled beneficiaries. Under a proposal released Thursday, patients would have to consult their doctor and get approval from their drug plan if a new prescription puts them above recommended cumulative dose levels for morphine-like painkillers. Attorneys for David Repsher say Airbus Helicopters, the manufacturer, and Air Methods Corp., the operator, agreed to the payment to settle Repsher's lawsuit over the 2015 crash in the mountain town of Frisco. SEATTLE (AP) _ Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.86 billion. The Seattle-based company said it had profit of $3.75 per share. ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, who says he remains in remission from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, announced Thursday he has been diagnosed with "very non-serious skin cancer." Hogan had some skin removed last month from his forehead as part of regular trips he makes to the dermatologist.
