EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A bookstore that recently closed in the Lansing area has donated 6,000 books to a group that raises money for the East Lansing library. The used books from Schuler Books & Music will be sold at the library. Maureen McCabe-Power says she's "surprised and thrilled" to get the big gift. OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Berkshire Hathaway's fourth-quarter profit more than quadrupled as it received a $29 billion boost from the new tax law that easily offset any weakness in the company's businesses. Berkshire said Saturday it earned $32.6 billion, or $13.19 per Class B share, in the fourth quarter because of the tax law changes. That compares with $6.3 billion, or $2.55 per B share, a year ago. Dropbox is hoping to raise $500 million in an IPO that comes 11 years after it started in San Francisco. CHICAGO (AP) — Warren Buffett is stepping down from the board of directors of Kraft Heinz Co. The Chicago-based food and beverage giant says the 87-year-old billionaire investor will retire from its board when his term ends in April as he moves to cut back on travel. Buffett is the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., a conglomerate based in Omaha, Nebraska. Kraft Heinz said its board will nominate Alexandre Van Damme to take Buffett's seat. Van Damme is also a board member of Anheuser-Busch Inbev and Restaurant Brands International.
