PARIS (AP) — Snow and freezing rain pummeled parts of France on Friday, shutting down the Eiffel Tower but covering Paris in a gorgeous coat of white. The Kushner Cos. is moving a case involving Maryland apartment complexes it owns with foreign partners from federal court to state court. HOUSTON (AP) — The number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the U.S. increased by 29 this week to 975. That exceeds the 741 rigs that were active this time a year ago. Houston oilfield services company Baker Hughes reported Friday that 791 rigs drilled for oil this week and 184 for gas. Among major oil- and gas-producing states, Texas increased by 14 rigs, North Dakota and Wyoming each gained four, Louisiana and New Mexico each increased by three and Kansas and Oklahoma each gained one. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Uber has settled a lawsuit alleging that it ripped off self-driving car technology from Google's autonomous vehicle division. Under the surprise deal, the ride-hailing service will pay Waymo, which is part of Alphabet, Inc., a stock settlement valued by Waymo at $245 million. NEW YORK (AP) — YouTube has temporarily suspended all ads from video star Logan Paul's channels after what it calls a pattern of behavior unsuitable for advertisers. In an emailed statement, YouTube said that the videos on Paul's channels are also "broadly damaging to the broader creator community."
