There's a lot of controversy going on at the moment between our round ball friends regarding the brain damaging effects of heading the ball, particularly amongst those veteran players who were around in the old soddened leather football days. everything must be done in the modern game to alleviate any threat of head/brain damage. Hodgson has had a mixed bag coaching Wests feeder team.

He took the magpies from rock bottom to fifth in his first season. With Fonua and Josh drinkwater the stand outs. He sorted out their leaky defence too. They made the play offs but they couldn't replace Drinkwater when he left to join Catalans.

Cooper and King absolutely deserve their spots and it should have been between those 2 for our player of the year aswell.
For Me Coote should have been at fullback instead of French, and Konrad Hurrell shouldn't be anywhere near that team. Josh Griffin should have his spot.

Yes, would prefer Maguire to Fifita as I think he would be more professional and reliable and better value for money. Maguire doesn't take a backwards step and would be just the sort of player we needed.

What I will say is this appointment could be one of the most important in the clubs history with the way are on and off the field. Really need to get back challenging in the next two years, we arent too far off with our squad if we could add a couple of additions.
