Fans and critics alike loved the first "Guardians of the Galaxy," and many of them have been impatiently awaiting the sequel.

Following a press screening in Los Angeles on Monday night, early reactions to "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" are pouring in. And so far, so good.

While journalists can't publish more specific reviews about the movie just yet, the overall consensus on social media is that it's a fun movie that is a great follow-up to the first installment.

The movie will be out in theaters on May 5.

Three people were killed as a gunman went on a shooting spree in Fresno, California, Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The suspect has been taken into custody and was identified as 39-year-old Kori Ali Muhammad. 

The shooting began around 10:45 a.m., Fresno police chief Jerry Dyer said. The suspect shot the passenger of a pickup truck, after which the driver of the truck "sped" to Fresno police headquarters and reported the shooting.

Billionaire business mogul Mark Cuban said Tuesday that Gary Cohn, head of President Donald Trump's National Economic Council, is leading a "Democratic invasion of the White House."

Cuban, the owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and star of ABC's "Shark Tank," told the Fox Business Network that was why Trump is becoming more centrist, according to Fox Business reporter Charlie Gasparino.

Washington (AFP) - President Donald Trump on Tuesday blamed -- without proof -- his predecessor Barack Obama for allowing the MS-13 criminal gang to take root in US cities.

The MS-13, also known as the Mara Salvatrucha, is one of the criminal groups behind a wave of violence in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday directing federal agencies to review and propose changes to a popular, but controversial visa program meant to attract skilled foreign labor.

The H-1B visa program has been assailed for years by critics who say it is used by companies to hire cheap, foreign workers in place of Americans.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The number of people applying for asylum in Mexico has soared by more than 150 percent since Donald Trump was elected U.S. president, according to Mexican data, as more Central American migrants seek to stay rather than take their chances in the United States.

Between November 2016 and March, Mexico's refugee agency, COMAR, received 5,421 asylum applications, up from 2,148 over the same period in 2015 and 2016.

A Navy officer is facing several charges, including hazing and maltreatment, after verbally and emotionally abusing and taking reprisal against a sailor who asked to stop being called "Charlie Brown," the Virginian-Pilot reported Tuesday.

The city is planning a 250-acre agricultural district, which will function as a space to work, live, shop, and farm food.
