HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — UConn has suspended swingman Sidney Wilson indefinitely from games for an unspecified violation of university policy. The school says the violation occurred last season, when the 6-foot-7 redshirt freshman sat out after transferring from St. John's and was denied a waiver from the NCAA. DELAWARE CITY, Del. (AP) — The state has retracted a statement describing the incident that hospitalized three workers at a Delaware refinery as a "minor explosion." MALE, Maldives (AP) — The first democratically elected president of the Maldives returned home Thursday after more than two years in exile to escape a long prison term. The plane carrying Mohamed Nasheed from Sri Lanka landed in Maldives' capital, Male, where he was welcomed by his party members and supporters. He planned to address his supporters later Thursday. BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota State University student could face discipline after a gun accidentally fired in a campus dorm room. University spokesman Mike Lockrem says the student was cleaning his gun after hunting and it discharged last week. No one was injured.
