ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis philanthropists Rex and Jeanne Sinquefield are donating $50 million to St. Louis University, the largest donation in the 200-year history of the university. SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — An orchard in Sandpoint will be the site of the University of Idaho's new Organic Agriculture Center. The Capital Press reports the orchard, donated Aug. 1 to the university by Dennis Pence and his family, will be known as the Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center. Commuters heading north on Highway 101 in Marin County can expect traffic delays just south of the Robin Williams Tunnel, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday morning. CHP issued a Sig-alert warning of extreme traffic congestion after a report of an overturned vehicle at about 6:42 a.m. That alert was canceled at 7:14 a.m. A second accident reported at 7:02 a.m. involved a vehicle that was removed from the roadway quickly and all lanes were reopened within minutes. The News & Observer cites warrants that say a 15-year-old girl reported meeting her coach, 32-year-old Nicholas Walkotten, at Durant Nature Preserve. BERLIN (AP) — Judges in Austria say a lower court's authorization for police to raid the offices of the country's domestic intelligence agency was illegal. The regional court in Vienna said Tuesday that the search of the BVT spy agency on Feb. 28 wasn't justified because the necessary information could have been obtained if police had simply asked for it. NEW YORK (AP) — Tiffany's fiscal second-quarter performance topped Wall's Street view on strong sales and the luxury jeweler boosted its full-year earnings forecast. Shares edged up about 1 percent to $131.48 in Tuesday morning trading. The New York-based company earned $144.7 million, or $1.17 per share, for the three months ended July 31, up 26 percent from last year. Philadelphia Police Chief Grant Myers WTOK-TV on Monday that 30-year-old Robert Leon Jackson is accused of holding up the cashier Megan Staats before killing her on Saturday. BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol says two people were killed and three injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 11 in Boulder City early Tuesday morning. LAKEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — A traffic stop by a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy saved a baby boy who had stopped breathing. The Sheriff's Department says a Lakewood station deputy saw a car driving erratically late Monday and pulled it over. The driver quickly got out while holding a 9-month-old boy. The deputy quickly determined the baby was unresponsive and put out a radio call about the emergency. TOKYO (AP) — A Japanese man released by North Korea after being accused of an unspecified crime arrived back in Japan on Tuesday, officials and reports said. Tomoyuki Sugimoto, who was arrested in early August, had been in North Korean custody during an investigation into the alleged crime. The North's official Korean Central News Agency said Sunday that the country decided to be lenient and expel him for humanitarian reasons. More than 93,000 Navajos are registered to vote in Tuesday's primary. The top two candidates move on to the November general election. COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — A man on Missouri death row for killing three convenience store workers in 1994 will get another chance to argue that a medical condition would make lethal injection too painful. The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Friday that a lower court mistakenly dismissed Ernest Lee Johnson's appeal in September 2016. DUFF, Ind. (AP) — Conservation officers say a 60-year-old southern Indiana man died when an all-terrain vehicle he was riding rolled into a pond, trapping him underwater. A relative called 911 after finding Jeremy "Jerry" Terwiske trapped Sunday evening beneath the ATV in a private pond in the Dubois (doo-BOYS') County town of Ireland. RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say troopers were involved in a fatal shooting while attempted to arrest a man wanted on multiple warrants. A statement from the agency says the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team went to a hotel in Richmond on Monday to arrest the suspect on charges of bail jumping, escape and absconding parole.
