RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) — The state of Washington will not allow the federal government to quickly shore up an aging tunnel containing radioactive waste left over from the production of nuclear weapons. PAYSON, Utah (AP) — A Utah man flew a small plane into his own house early Monday just hours after he had been arrested for assaulting his wife in a nearby canyon where the couple went to talk over their problems, authorities said. The Muni construction worker struck and killed by a steel beam inside the Twin Peaks tunnel was identified Monday as 51-year-old Patrick Ricketts, of Williams (Colusa County).
