PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island police are looking for a man they say stole a vehicle with two young children inside it. Providence police say the children, an 8-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were found safe just minutes after their father's SUV was taken. WASHINGTON (AP) — A program that allows foreign graduates of American universities to stay in the country for temporary employment has expanded significantly over a dozen years. That's according to a study by the Pew Research Center. CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — Workers in Cedar Falls have moved the old Chamber of Commerce building from its riverbank location to its new home a few blocks away. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that some onlookers pulled up chairs and watched as the building was hoisted onto a truck and moved through downtown. The building likely weighs 25 tons (23 metric tons) and took about an hour to relocate. LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A man accused of stopping an Amtrak train in south-central Nebraska is working on a plea deal. Federal court records say a plea change hearing has been scheduled July 12 for 26-year-old Taylor Wilson, of St. Charles, Missouri. He's pleaded not guilty to attempting to disable a train and attempting to interfere with an engineer or conductor. The charges stem from an Oct. 22 incident as the train headed to Chicago. TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — County health officials have discovered seven probable cases of hepatitis C and 12 cases that require additional investigation following an outbreak at a hospital near Tacoma. CHICAGO (AP) — Federal environmental regulators say they're significantly escalating an investigation into high levels of toxic manganese on Chicago's Southeast Side. The Chicago Tribune reports that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency action comes after the Chicago Department of Public Health tested more than two dozen yards in the East Side neighborhood.
