Indie distributor The Orchard said on Friday that it’s nabbed U.S. distribution rights for award-winning documentary “The Dawn Wall.” The film, which took home the audience award at South By Southwest, presents an inside look at the historic 3,000 foot climb in Yosemite National Park attempted by American rock climbers Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson in January 2015. “The Dawn Wall” was directed by Josh Lowell and Peter Mortimer, and produced by Red Bull Media House in association with Sender Films. MOREHEAD, Ky. — Shelly Phillips works in an office at the First United Methodist Church in Laramie, Wyo., and rarely donates to political candidates. (AP) — A judge refused to lower bail Friday for a 19-year-old charged with firing shots inside of his northern Illinois high school as seniors met for graduation rehearsal, an offense a prosecutor described as one of "the most serious crimes you can commit." RENO, Nev. (AP) — Campaign finance records show U.S. Sen. Dean Heller's campaign paid the Nevada Republican's son at least $52,500 over the past two years. The Reno Gazette Journal reported Friday that 29-year-old Harrison Heller's Utah-based business has no other employees and is not listed as a paid vendor for any other federal election campaign. BELLEVUE, Iowa (AP) — Police in northeastern Iowa have announced an arrest in the Christmas Day 2016 stabbing death of a Bellevue man. Bellevue police say an arrest warrant was issued Thursday for 23-year-old Drew Alan Mangler, of Dubuque, in the death of 59-year-old James Remakel. Police say Mangler was arrested Friday and has been charged with first-degree murder. Police found Remakel's body after being called to a house in Bellevue on Dec. 25, 2016.
