KELSO, Wash. (AP) — Officials say a horse that got loose near some train tracks in western Washington state delayed train traffic for about an hour. Police in Kelso spotted the horse on South Pacific Avenue at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Cowlitz County Humane Society Executive Director Keenan Harvey tells The Daily News that police lost track of the horse near the train tracks, shutting down train traffic. (AP) — The Latest on a U.S. Senate Race in Alabama (all times local): ___ 2:30 p.m. Alabama Democrat Doug Jones is continuing his outreach to black voters in his U.S. Senate race against Republican Roy Moore. Jones on Saturday marched in the Christmas parade in Selma, where events in 1965 helped spur the U.S. Voting Rights Act that secured voting rights for African-Americans. HAMEL, Ill. (AP) — Illinois State Police say a Colorado man was the driver of a truck that crashed into several vehicles on Interstate 55 in southwestern Illinois, killing four people. Police spokesman Calvin Dye Jr. says 53-year-old Mohamed Yussuf Jama of Greeley was driving the tractor-trailer when it crashed into vehicles that had slowed or stopped in a construction zone near Hamel on Nov. 21. LYNDONVILLE, VT. (AP) — Police are investigating a fatal crash in Vermont that left a middle-aged woman dead on the side of the road. Vermont police say they found the woman dead on the east side of the road on Saturday morning in Lyndonville north of Route 114. Police say they have not found the driver of the vehicle that hit the woman. Police have temporarily closed Route 5. Few details have been released and state police are notifying the women's kin.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A new casino training school is launching in Springfield as the western Massachusetts city prepares for the opening of the state's first Las Vegas-style resort. The Massachusetts Casino Career Training Institute's Gaming School is a joint effort by Holyoke Community College and Springfield Technical Community College. LORDSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Authorities are trying to determine how a man's body found inside a roll-off container at a northeast Ohio construction landfill got there. The body was discovered Friday morning at the Trumbull County landfill as a driver prepared to unload debris hauled from a construction site in Ravenna. Law enforcement authorities say the fully clothed body is that of a white male in his 30s or 40s. NEW YORK (AP) — A former New York public radio host has been accused of sexual misconduct by an author and former colleagues. John Hockenberry left his WNYC show "The Takeaway" in August. Author Suki Kim said he sent her emails that made her uncomfortable and after news about other men harassing women came out she decided to ask whether anyone felt uncomfortable around Hockenberry. TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Tucson police say a man was found shot to death in a home on the city's north side. Authorities say a woman called 911 around 4:30 a.m. Saturday to report gunfire. According to spokesman Sgt. Pete Dugan, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound in the woman's home. He was pronounced dead at the scene. PARIS (AP) — Former U.S. President Barack Obama is ending a five-day international trip in Paris, where he had lunch with French President Emmanuel Macron and gave a speech to business leaders. SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah officials are warning that a program that insures thousands of lower-income children in the state could end early next year without more federal funding. KUTV in Salt Lake City reports that the Utah Department of Health stated on its website Friday that the program can only last through January if the federal government doesn't approve more funding. STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) — Police say a man was fatally shot at a suburban Detroit wholesale candy business, the second homicide in less than a week. The latest victim found Saturday was a man in his 20s. The shooting occurred at Laith Candy Land in Sterling Heights. NICHOLS, N.Y. (AP) — A casino in New York's Southern Tier has opened a new resort hotel. Tioga Downs held the grand opening for its new lodging facility on Friday. The six-floor hotel has 161 rooms and room for events such as weddings and banquets. It's adjacent to the casino, which opened last year. Tioga Downs had operated a race track and electronic gambling hall before receiving state approval to transition into a resort casino.
