Pedestrian accidents pile up on state roads across Maryland
WHEATON, Md. (AP) — Consuelo Anglarill, 82, took a bus to the Safeway on Georgia Ave. on Jan. 15. Her daughter, Elizabeth, suspects the retired nanny was simply bored that Sunday morning. "She doesn't like being home alone." As the elderly woman crossed the busy state highway in front of the grocery store, a car struck and killed her.
