Gov. Scott Walker has been losing ground in the Republican presidential race,and lately has tried to stem his fall in the polls by plowing the same ground as GOP front runner Donald Trump. On Sunday, after discussion of Trump’s pledge to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, Walker suggested that the United States should “look at” a wall along the 4,000-mile border (or 5,500 miles if you count the boundary with Alaska) between the U.S. and Canada. (AP) — The Washington Department of Transportation is planning to add lanes to Interstate 5 near Joint Base Lewis-McChord to battle long-term traffic problems, but the six-year project is expected to make traffic congestion worse between Olympia and Tacoma in the near future. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in suburban Birmingham have identified a man who was killed in a small plane crash. Shelby County Coroner Dana New told Al.com on Monday (http://bit.ly/1JH0XR2 ) that investigators used dental records to identify 38-year-old John Gary Wyatt of Vestavia Hills. The single-engine aircraft Wyatt was flying crashed in Calera Thursday evening near the Shelby County airport after departing from the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. AAA Northeast's latest survey released Monday found self-serve, regular selling for an average of $2.34 per gallon. NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Officials in Delaware are investigating after a man was critically injured after falling from his bike in Newark. The Delaware State Police says it happened Sunday around 3 p.m. on the shoulder of westbound Paper Mill Road west of Limestone Road. State Police say 25-year-old Newark resident Di Ha lost control of his bike and fell, hitting his head. Ha was flown to a hospital in critical condition. State Police says it was unknown whether Ha was wearing a helmet at the time of the fall.

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks moved lower in mid-morning trading Monday as oil prices fell and investors reacted to signs that the Federal Reserve was still on pace to raise interest rates in September. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 17 points, or 0.8 percent, to 1,972 and the Nasdaq composite lost 34 points, or 0.7 percent, to 4,794.
