This photo of that game was on a calender that the club produced a few years back.
A real moment in time from a game played half a century ago,the Salford player about 4 foot off the ground and parallel to the pitch as he makes that tackle.

Very early exchanges obviously before the rain and gluepot pitch made the players unrecognisable.

Thinking about fitness too..in 2016 I thought we got things spot on throughout fitnesswise - was one of those seasons where if we went into the last 20 of a game 6 down you were confident our conditioning was enough advantage to get us over the line. Australia's National Rugby League (NRL) will introduce two-point drop goals for shots outside of 40 metres as part of sweeping rule changes aimed at encouraging attacking play.

Drop goals, also known as field goals in the NRL, have previously been worth only one point so are the least-preferred method of scoring.

The current guys in charge of the NRL are not afraid to make radical changes to make money.
The only way I can think of for them to make money out of this would be to change RL back to a winter sport in the northern hemisphere and run a year round sport with TV deals that reflect that.

It’ll be interesting to see how he goes as part of a prop rotation. With what happened to Scruton and Jewitt in 2019 and Masoe and Garbutt in 2020, it was always a huge ask. He’s not currently a player who can strap a team on his back and carry it forward. The weight loss meant he could do more minutes to help fill the gaps, but they were less effective minutes in already lightweight packs. This signing gives us the opportunity to go a little bigger and for size in the pack if needed to bolster it, for example.. We all know that Cooper can play long minutes, usually plays around 60 mins but he could play for longer if needed, with his offload game too he could be an option at 13. Then rotate the other props for shorter spells each to keep them fresh. If we really need to step up and bully a team, could go with this sort of pack and bench.
