Government spending shoots up 12 per cent
Government spending shot up by 12 per cent in October 2017 compared to the previous year, statistics released by the Central Bank of Malta show. According to the Central Bank's December economic update, the consolidated fund balance registered a deficit of €52.5 million, an increase of €10.9 million compared with the deficit registered in October last year.
