FRYEBURG, Maine (AP) — Maine's summer and fall agricultural fair season is coming to close with the last day of the Fryeburg Fair. The state's ag fairs begin in late June every year and run until early October, with stops all over the state. ELLENDALE, N.D. (AP) — A group is trying to raise $560,000 to complete renovations of a century-old opera house in southern North Dakota. MOUNT HEALTHY, Ohio (AP) — Authorities have identified a 3-year-old girl who was killed in a shooting in a Cincinnati suburb. Mount Healthy police say officers found Damia Barnett dead from a gunshot wound when they arrived Friday afternoon at the home she shared with her parents and four siblings. The toddler died in what police are preliminarily calling an accidental shooting. SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Friction over a stovepipe hat's connection to Abraham Lincoln has prompted the director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum to dissolve his $25,000 consulting contract with the organization's fundraising arm. Alan Lowe told The Associated Press his "top priority" is as director of the Lincoln museum. MIAMI (AP) — Forecasters say a tropical depression in the Caribbean could strengthen over the next several days and become a hurricane by midweek. The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Sunday that the tropical depression could strengthen into a hurricane by Tuesday night or Wednesday. HOUGHTON, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Technological University in Houghton will receive nearly $253,000 in funding from the U.S. Labor Department's Mine Safety and Health Administration. TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — A totem pole that's overlooked a western Indiana museum's entryway for decades is getting a long overdue face-lift.
