MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee police are investigating after officers kicked and punched a man restrained on the ground who had lashed out at arresting officers. One officer is on paid suspension and three others are on administrative duty after video shot by a bystander emerged of the violence Wednesday evening. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Four people were arrested in a drug bust that Green Bay police say was more than a year in the making and resulted in the seizure of about 20 pounds of marijuana. Officers executed a search warrant on a home Thursday. Police Chief Andrew Smith says they seized the marijuana worth about $70,000 on the street, along with two guns and $7,600 in cash. LENEXA, Kan. (AP) — A suburban Kansas City man who was shot and wounded by police has been charged with ramming several patrol cars with a stolen vehicle. Twenty-year-old Taylor Joseph Greenhalgh, of Lenexa, Kansas, is charged with five felonies, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and felony theft. Bond is set at $250,000. Lars Morand says the person, born in 1987, was arrested Friday in the southern Swedish city of Lund. Morand declined to elaborate further. MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey father has been indicted in the death of his 4-month-old son. Atlantic County prosecutors say 35-year-old Jose Rojas, of Mays Landing, faces charges of aggravated manslaughter aggravated assault and child endangerment in the indictment handed up Thursday by a county grand jury. DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a woman in Davenport. Officers dispatched after a 911 call early Friday morning found the wounded woman. Police say she died later at Genesis Medical Center-East. Her name hasn't been released. Iowa Criminal Investigation Division agents are trying to find out what happened. No arrests have been reported.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a deadly Columbia shooting. Police said in a news release that 43-year-old Robert Eugene Jennings, of Columbia, was shot multiple times Thursday in the northern part of the city. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The release says detectives are working to identify and capture the suspect or suspects. No other details were immediately released.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Two people have been found dead after an overnight fire in Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge fire officials say the blaze at a home on Hollywood Street began shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday. The Advocate reports that firefighters arrived and found about 60 percent of the home engulfed in flames. They found the two bodies while searching the home. SEATTLE (AP) — The leader of a heroin ring that stashed the drug in or near public parks in North Seattle has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison. Federal prosecutors say 26-year-old Fredy Ramon Gutama-Gutama, of Lynnwood, conspired with his brother and other people to make the drug deals and sent the proceeds back to his native Ecuador. He was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Thursday. His brother, Fabian Martin Gutama-Gutama, was sentenced last month to 18 months. Both are expected to be deported following their prison terms.

WATERFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut police are investigating what they are calling the untimely death of a 5-year-old boy whose body was found in a car. Waterford Chief Brett Mahoney said officers were contacted about a missing child at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Police found the child unresponsive about 19 minutes later in a family four-door sedan. WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Gambling Commission says its agents have arrested four people in an illegal soccer betting ring in Wenatchee. The commission says it had received complaints about gambling at several businesses, and the investigation determined that at least five, including a taco restaurant, were facilitating or accepting bets on Mexican matches. The Milwaukee-based real estate investment trust said it had funds from operations of $49 million, or 26 cents per share, in the period. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of 27 cents per share.
