GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — The former IT director for the Poplar School District has pleaded guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors to embezzling nearly $90,000 from the district. The Great Falls Tribune reports that Sheri Forbregd Gossage entered a plea Thursday to wire fraud after being indicted in February. She was originally charged with wire fraud and theft from a state and local government receiving federal funding. She had pleaded not guilty before the deal with prosecutors. Court documents... LEONIA, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey's attorney general says the towns that banned nonresident drivers from using its streets as shortcuts are not legally allowed to do that. Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said Wednesday that the decision to restrict access to Leonia streets to resident drivers is "legally invalid." STRATHAM, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire-based Timberland says it is laying off dozens of employees as a part of what it says is a reconstructive effort. Timberland said Tuesday that it had laid off roughly 45 employees nationwide, including a number of employees at its headquarters in Stratham. ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Reservations are now being accepted for celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey's newest steakhouse located in Atlantic City. Gordon Ramsey Steak will open Memorial Day weekend at Harrah's Resort, with reservation seating beginning June 4. The Press of Atlantic City reports Ramsey also operates a restaurant called Gordon Ramsey Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City. Ali the aardvark is mother to Winsol, who in late December became the zoo's first healthy aardvark newborn since 1994. Cincinnati Zoo staffers draw milk samples from the 13-year-old mom every Friday, then send them to the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington and the Smithsonian's Exotic Animal Milk Repository. Two former supervisors involved in the cleanup of radioactive contaminants at the old Hunters Point Naval Shipyard have pleaded guilty to falsifying soil samples in the widening environmental scandal that has engulfed San Francisco’s largest redevelopment project. The guilty pleas were made in 2017 as part of a criminal federal investigation that had been under seal until Wednesday, when one of the supervisors was sentenced to eight months in prison.
