HONOLULU (AP) — A 45-year-old Kona man has pleaded guilty to allegations that he recorded sexually explicit images of a 15-year-old girl and the teen's 2-year-old daughter. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports that Michael Phillip Patrakis entered pleas on Tuesday to two counts of sexually exploiting a minor — one count for each victim. The penalty for each count is a mandatory minimum prison term of 15 years and maximum 30, followed by up to lifetime court supervision. DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani intelligence officials and local Taliban say two missiles fired from a U.S. drone hit a militant facility in neighboring Afghanistan, killing 21 insurgents, including the son of the head of the Pakistani Taliban. The officials say the strike took place on Wednesday and targeted a compound frequented by Mullah Fazlullah, the leader of the Pakistani Taliban who is believed to be hiding in Afghanistan. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors have decided not to file charges against a talent agent whom actor Terry Crews said groped him at a Hollywood party. SAN DIEGO (AP) — University of San Diego coach Lamont Smith resigned Wednesday night, 10 days after he was arrested for investigation of domestic violence at the end of a road trip. Smith's resignation came one day after the San Francisco District Attorney's Office said he wouldn't face charges "at this time" in a domestic violence investigation. Even though no charges were filed, the university said on Tuesday that Smith remained on administrative leave pending a school investigation. The school said Smith resigned Wednesday night.
