Brian Sandoval says not to expect him to call a special session of the Legislature to take up the issue. State Sen. FORT LAUDERDLAE, Fla. (AP) — A Florida driver says two sisters beat her with baseball bats following a road rage incident. Twenty-six year-old Mikaela Barboza told local news media she cut off one of the drivers Sunday and they followed her to a nearby plaza. She said the two drivers blocked her in so she exited her car. Barboza recorded cellphone video showing one woman approaching with a bat. A witness' video shows the women on the ground fighting. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is ending a program that allows citizens of Liberia living in the U.S. to avoid deportation. But it's allowing a one-year "wind-down" period to ease their return. Liberians have been eligible for Deferred Enforcement Departure since 1999. The program allows them to live and work in the U.S. A memorandum issued by President Donald Trump Tuesday says conditions in Liberia have improved substantially and that the country has made "significant progress in restoring stability and democratic governance.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Jurors have convicted an Ohio man in the killing of a college student who disappeared while bicycling. James Worley now could face the death penalty in the 2016 killing of Sierah Joughin (JAW'-gihn) after a jury convicted him Tuesday of aggravated murder, kidnapping and other charges. The 20-year-old University of Toledo student was found dead in a cornfield three days after she was last seen near her home west of Toledo. CHIMAYO, N.M. (AP) — Authorities are preparing for an annual journey that brings thousands of travelers to a Roman Catholic shrine in northern New Mexico each year. The Santa Fe New Mexican reports most travelers arrive to El Santuario de Chimayo during the Holy Week pilgrimage on Good Friday. Some travelers are drawn to the rural village to view Nuestro Senor de Esquipulas, a crucifix that, according to legend, was discovered at the site on Easter Week in the early 1800s. HOUGHTON LAKE, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say search crews found two bodies in a northern Michigan swamp believed to be those of a man and woman missing since November. State police 1st Lt. Josh Lator says crews with search dogs found the bodies on Monday after reaching a previously inaccessible area of the Dead Stream Swamp in Missaukee County. That is near where a truck belonging to 34-year-old Jeff Hurley of Prudenville was found in November stuck in mud during the search for him and 19-year-old Alexandria Foust of Cadillac. (AP) — A federal appeals court has overturned a decision in a long-running legal battle over whether Google infringed on Oracle's Java programming language to build its hugely popular mobile operating system, Android. TOPEKA, Kan. — When Linda Brown was a schoolgirl in Kansas, her father tried to enroll her in an all-white school in Topeka. He and several black families were turned away, sparking the Brown v. Board of Education case that challenged segregation in public schools.
