BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — A Montana man who embezzled tens of thousands of dollars from a construction firm has received a four-year suspended sentence and must complete 100 hours of community service. The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports 46-year-old Kirk Hogan pleaded guilty Thursday to felony theft by embezzlement and has already paid back $222,500 to Dick Anderson Construction. SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A woman who has waited 40 years to immigrate legally to the U.S. has finally arrived in Utah with the help of a congressman's office. The Salt Lake Tribune reports 70-year-old Corazon Espinosa arrived at the Salt Lake City International Airport on Thursday and was greeted by a dozen siblings and in-laws. Espinosa's mother and father left the Philippines and immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1980s. CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago has announced $33 million in security upgrades on the Chicago Transit Authority system funded by a ride-hailing service fee. Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office says a new program — dubbed "Safe and Secure" — will upgrade 3,800 older-model system cameras to high-definition. It'll also add 1,000 new cameras. Among the other security improvements will be better lighting at all 146 CTA stations. New cameras will also be installed at more than 100 CTA bus-turnaround locations. OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The Washington Legislature has passed a measure that would require Washington insurers offering maternity care to also cover elective abortions and contraception. The Senate concurred on changes made in the House to Senate Bill 6219 and passed it on a 27-22 vote Saturday. The measure now heads to Gov. Jay Inslee for his expected signature. WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities said a man shot himself to death outside the White House on Saturday. The District of Columbia Police Department says in a tweet that "adult male has been declared deceased. We are working to notify next of kin." That tweet comes about two hours after the Secret Service first reported that it was responding to reports of a self-inflicted shooting along the White House's north fence. The man who recently accused former “Melrose Place” star Jamie Luner of performing oral sex on him when he was a teen now says the actress also drugged him and taped the sexual act — accusations she says have “no merit.” Anthony Oliver told TMZ he met Luner — who played Lexi Sterling on the ’90s drama — at a party she threw at her home in Los Angeles in 1998 that he attended with his brother. CINCINNATI (AP) — An Ohio man has been convicted for at least the sixth time for publicly exposing himself. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports a Hamilton County jury deliberated several hours Friday before convicting 50-year-old Gerald Fornshell of felony public indecency. Prosecutors say the Lebanon man exposed himself last July to a 21-year-old woman at a Cincinnati Half Price Books store after spotting him earlier that day at a bookstore in Mason. The woman says she pities Fornshell but thinks there should be stricter laws for repeat offenders.

DETROIT (AP) — A food hall is set to open this fall in downtown Detroit's Federal Reserve Building. Detroit-based Bedrock real estate says Thursday that the Galley Group's project will provide local culinary talent the opportunity to test new concepts in a low-risk, low-cost environment. The Pittsburgh-based Galley Group is a food hall development, management and advisory company.
