(AP) — Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge has been elected vice chairwoman of the Republican Attorneys General Association. The group announced Monday that Rutledge was elected to serve in the post through the 2017 election cycle.

Allison Smith-Burk is the group's director of public policy and says the change would give advocacy organizations another tool to help victims stay safe. Smith-Burk says that's frightening for victims who worry that an abusive spouse or partner will continue to stalk them. (AP) — A Montana legislative panel has voted against restricting the news media's publication of fatal accident photographs on social media until the victims' next of kin is notified. Republican Rep. Barry Usher of Billings said the legislation does not prevent individuals from posting such photographs, and that social media is beyond the state Legislature's control.
