NEW YORK (AP) — Two New York City artists are hoping to give travelers at LaGuardia Airport something to look forward to with custom short stories written at the terminal. Lexie Smith and Gideon Jacobs set up two weeks ago inside LaGuardia's Terminal A, writing free short stories for patrons getting on their flights. The New York Post reports the stories are delivered to patrons' phones after they land at their destination. NEW YORK (AP) — The top executive at Campbell Soup will retire and the company is undergoing a strategic review as it tries to revive sales that have been under pressure due to shifting American tastes. Denise Morrison, who has been has been CEO since 2011, is being replaced immediately by Keith McLoughlin, who will lead the company on an interim basis. NEW YORK (AP) — New York City officials say parking meter rates will go up citywide by the end of 2018 under a new plan. City Department of Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg said Wednesday that the plan calls for modest rate increases that would kick in during a second hour of parking. NEW YORK (AP) — Cambridge Analytica, the beleaguered data collection agency that worked for President Donald Trump's 2016 election campaign, is liquidating operations. The British firm filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection late Thursday. It said in a New York court filing that its assets totaled $100,001 to $500,000. VOLCANO, Hawaii (AP) — A volcano on Hawaii's Big Island erupted anew Thursday with little sound and only modest fury, spewing a steely gray plume of ash about 30,000 feet (9,100 meters) into the sky that began raining down on a nearby town.
