TOKYO (AP) — Japanese electronics company Toshiba Corp. said Thursday the sale of its computer memory chip business to a consortium led by Bain Capital Private Equity has cleared all anti-trust regulatory approval, including one it was awaiting from China. That means the deal, valued at 2 trillion yen ($18 billion), can now close by June 1, Tokyo-based Toshiba said. Revenue at Walmart stores opened at least a year rose a solid 2.1 percent, the company said Thursday. JOHANNESBURG (AP) — The global health community gulped Thursday with the announcement that a case of Ebola had been confirmed in a city of more than 1 million in Congo, bringing the latest outbreak of the often deadly hemorrhagic fever out of remote rural areas. PODGORICA, Montenegro (AP) — A hospital in Montenegro has launched an investigation after a family went home from the maternity ward with the wrong baby. The Medical Center in Podgorica, the capital, on Thursday blamed the incident on a nurse who didn't follow procedure. NEW YORK (AP) — J.C. Penney cut its outlook for the year as it trims costs to help offset declining revenue. The company's first-quarter loss is along the lines of what analysts had expected, and revenue topped expectations. But its outlook for the year is short of most projections. The company posted a first-quarter profit of $2.13 billion on Thursday, or 72 cents per share. COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Denmark says online room-rental platform Airbnb will start to automatically report its users' deals to taxation authorities, the first country to do so. Taxation minister Carsten Lauritzen says Airbnb "has committed to report data so their hosts pay taxes." He says Airbnb will inform Danish taxation authorities of the number of renting days and its users' total income.
