Two companies named as Egrant shareholders in transcripts of two alleged declaration of trusts published by blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia ceased to have an interest in the company in July 2013, Nexia BT managing partner Brian Tonna has said.  In a statement, Mr Tonna said Egrant was incorporated on 4 July 2013 and that Dubro Ltd. and Aliator S.A. were its original subscribers. The European Union is considering legislative measures to harmonise how online platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Google take down hate speech and incitement to violence, a draft document seen by Reuters shows. A young woman was grievously injured this afternoon in a car crash in Mellieħa, police said.  The 20-year-old Mellieħa resident was driving her Toyota Vitz when she was involved in a collision with a Mitsubishi Lancer while on Triq Santa Marija at around 3.30pm.  She was rushed to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance. The 30-year-old Mellieħa man behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi was not hurt in the crash.  Police said they are investigating further.

A woman riding pillion on a motorbike was grievously injured in a collision in Rabat this afternoon. The 55-year-old French woman was a passenger on a Peugeot Tweet motorbike driven by a 55-year-old man, also French, when the pair were involved in a collision with a Toyota Hilux pick-up driven by a 48-year-old Żabbar man.  The accident happened on Triq ta' Tlampa at around 1.15pm. Bottles, plastic, metal and other litter was scooped up from the seafloor in Valletta's Banjijiet as part of an underwater clean-up held this morning to mark Earth Day.   Seventeen divers took part in the clean-up operation held days before the start of the Valletta Green Festival. A poacher caught on camera and subsequently arrested last Tuesday near Ħal Farruġ was hunting with the help of a police constable, bird conservation activists have said.  The constable was sitting in the same hide as the poacher for at least an hour spotting passing birds for him, the Committee Against Bird Slaughter said.  "We have more than one hour of video footage which shows the two men together with at least one shotgun visible in the hands of the poacher who was later arrested," said CABS press officer Axel Hirschfeld. Kiosks to be set up at Valletta's Triton Square will have a simple iron and wood design, with restrictions placed on owners to ensure uniformity. Two youths aged 17 and 18 were arrested this morning in the course of a drug raid close to the Marsa horse racing track, police said.  Officers from the police's drug squad discovered hidden sachets containing white and brown powder during the raid.  The two suspects are being held for questioning.

More than 100 army personnel have been killed or wounded after gunmen wearing army uniforms stormed a military compound in Afghanistan. Daulat Waziri, spokesman for the Afghanistan Ministry of Defence, said the attack happened on Friday at a compound of the 209th Corps of the Afghan National Army in Balkh province. Prime Minister Joseph Muscat this morning reiterated claims that transcripts of documents linking his wife to Panama company Egrant had been falsified, insisting more than one piece of information did not tally. Fielding questions from journalists following a press conference this morning, Dr Muscat said that declarations of trusts would have had the registered address of a company, which in this case should have been in Panama and so this could not be in San Ġwann.
