Two women were seriously injured early Saturday in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset District after falling to the street when a third-floor balcony collapsed, fire officials said. Four people were standing on what building inspectors called a “metal decorative balcony” when it collapsed at 12:06 a.m. on Lawton Street between 26th and 27th avenues.
