OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland, California, police department asks officer applicants if they've ever been sexually assaulted, which appears to be a rare and potentially problematic question, a newspaper reported Sunday. The San Francisco Chronicle queried police in the state's 10 most populous cities and could not find another instance of screening for sexual assault victims. BELFAIR, Wash. (AP) — Authorities are releasing the names of a man and a woman found dead in their trailer north of Belfair. Mason County Sheriff deputies on Sunday said they were 35-year-old Matthew Bush and 28-year-old Luna Bush. Deputies says found a knife with the bodies. KOMO reports their six-year-old son found them when he came home from school. He ran to get help from a neighbor. Neighbors say the couple had two other children. LANGSTON, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say one person has died after being shot during a party at a community center in Langston. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Sunday that 19-year-old Brandon DuPree died while being airlifted to an Oklahoma City hospital after being shot in the chest. Officials did not immediately announce any arrests. About 150 people attended the party Saturday night at The Langston Center, which is a community and recreational complex. PROVINCETOWN, Mass. (AP) — Researchers say a 54-foot fin whale that was found dead in Massachusetts was known to them for more than 30 years. The Cape Cod Times reports the whale that washed ashore in Provincetown on Tuesday had been given the nickname "Ladders" for the twin propeller scars near its dorsal fin. LAS VEGAS (AP) — Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire to a bank ATM in Las Vegas. The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Wells Fargo branch bank around 8 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, crews reported seeing smoke and flames from a drive-up ATM. Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the ATM and prevent extension to the bank. Authorities say damage hasn't been estimated yet and the fire is under investigation.

BERLIN (AP) — German police say about 10,000 people have taken part in a protest against the anti-migrant group PEGIDA in the eastern city of Dresden. Mainstream parties, labor unions and civil society groups staged a march with the slogan "heart not hatred." PEGIDA, whose name stands for Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West, celebrated its fourth birthday Sunday. German news agency dpa reported that the group held a separate rally in Dresden, attended by about 5,000 people.

MARQUETTE, Wis. (AP) — A man has died after his duck-hunting boat capsized in high winds on the Fox River. The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office says authorities searched for the 52-year-old Princeton man near Puckaway Lake in the Town of Marquette and found his body in the water around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say the man was duck hunting with a Berlin man and a dog when high winds overturned the boat and threw the men into the water. The Berlin man made it to shore with the dog and called 911.
