RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Two teenage students opened fire at a school in southeastern Brazil on Friday, leaving three students injured. The shooting happened at the Joao Manoel Mondrone school in the city of Medianeira in Parana state. Producer Kathleen Kennedy has renewed her contract to remain president of Lucasfilm for another three years, through 2021, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter. Kennedy, an eight-time Academy Award nominee, is one of the most successful and respected producers and executives in the film industry. RUSK, Texas (AP) — Investigators say a 2-year-old East Texas boy has died after accidentally shooting himself with a pistol he apparently found while visiting relatives. Cherokee County Sheriff James Campbell says foul play was not suspected in Thursday night's shooting at a house near Rusk. Campbell says the victim, whose name wasn't immediately released, and his 1-year-old brother were with their mother visiting family. ELKTON, Md. (AP) — Officials are pointing fingers over the 2015 dismissal of charges against a man charged two years later in a fatal workplace shooting. In 2017, authorities say Radee Prince shot five co-workers at a Maryland granite company, killing three. A trial is pending in that case, but he's been sentenced to 40 years in prison for shooting a man in Delaware the same day. DENVER (AP) — A rare bird found only in Colorado and Utah will stay on the endangered species list, at least for now. A federal judge in Denver on Friday upheld a 2014 decision by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect the Gunnison sage grouse as a threatened species. State and county governments in Colorado and Utah had challenged the decision. Colorado officials said they haven't decided whether to appeal. Four people were injured after a bus collided with a Muni train just before 9:30 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Mission Rock and Third streets in San Francisco, officials said. Paul Rose, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Metropolitan Transit Agency, said investigators believe the vehicle made a left turn in front of the train when the accident occurred.

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — An 83-year-old New Jersey state senator has revealed that she was groped and forcibly kissed by a visitor in her home when she was just a girl. Sen.
