HARTSELLE, Ala. (AP) — Wildlife authorities are asking for information after a red-tailed hawk was spotted in north Alabama with an arrow shot through its body. The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division says officials were notified after someone saw the injured bird, and a member of the Alabama Hawking Association tried to capture it. Tyler police Officer Don Martin says 56-year-old Alexander Guiliano was located Monday. He's hospitalized in stable condition. Martin says a landowner Friday morning reported finding a motorcycle on a dirt road. Officers searched an 80-acre (32.376-hectare) area thick with trees and brush. TUSTIN, Calif. (AP) _ Avid Bioservices Inc. (CDMO) on Monday reported a loss of $2 million in its fiscal first quarter. On a per-share basis, the Tustin, California-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents. The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 9 cents per share. The contract manufacturer posted revenue of $12.6 million in the period. SANTA PAULA, Calif. (AP) _ Limoneira Co. (LMNR) on Monday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $8.2 million. The Santa Paula, California-based company said it had net income of 50 cents per share. The agribusiness company posted revenue of $40 million in the period. Limoneira expects full-year earnings in the range of 65 cents to 70 cents per share. Limoneira shares have climbed 48 percent since the beginning of the year. TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) — Officials say an Auburn University student was killed while skydiving in east Alabama. Tuskegee Police Chief Marquez James says 21-year-old Sawyer Stephen Campbell died Sunday afternoon during a jump at the Tuskegee Municipal Airport. James says Campbell had problems opening his parachute on his second jump of the day. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified, and the accident is being treated as a death investigation. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — One Florida county has dumped more than 17 tons of dead fish collected since Red Tide algae crept up from South Florida into Tampa Bay. Fish are dying off at such a rate that officials are seeking more commercial vessels to keep sifting dead sea life from the Gulf of Mexico and hauling it to a landfill.
