CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — An official says more than 500 asylum seekers remain in a decommissioned Australian immigration camp in Papua New Guinea after a court ruled authorities no longer have to supply power, food and water. The camp inside a Manus Island navy base was declared closed on Oct. 31 based on the Papua New Guinea Supreme Court's ruling last year that Australia's policy of housing asylum seekers there was unconstitutional. CLEVELAND (AP) — An Ohio man is facing multiple charges after police say he raped and robbed three teenage girls at gunpoint. Police say the three girls, two 17 and one 18, were standing on the platform of a Regional Transit Authority stop in Cleveland around 11:45 a.m. Saturday when the man approached them and threatened to shoot them. Court records show the man raped the girls multiple times and stole their cellphones and wallets before running away. Police later found the man and the stolen items a block away from the stop. NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut city is suing the company that manufactures OxyContin for "deceptive marketing" that is blamed for the city's opioid crisis. New Haven filed a lawsuit against Purdue Pharma Tuesday seeking compensation for costs faced by police, social services and first responders combating the crisis. STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) — A judge has dismissed charges against a former Connecticut ethics commissioner who was accused of patronizing a prostitute in a mix-up with the wrong woman. The Connecticut Post reports the judge dismissed the case against Noel Kayo Tuesday after prosecutors declined to pursue it. EASTPORT, Maine (AP) — Authorities in Maine say a fire has destroyed a historic building that once served as a Navy barracks in World War II. Crews responded to the fire at the Eastport building around 1 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters contained the blaze after two hours. Authorities say the fire destroyed most of the building, but no one was hurt. HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A romance novel cover model from California has pleaded guilty to robbing a bank and a convenience store in Connecticut. The Greenwich Time reports 35-year-old David Byers, of San Diego, entered his guilty plea in Hartford Tuesday.
