Over 30 years after art heist, museum gets stolen piece back
PHOENIX (AP) — Officials say a valuable painting from the University of Arizona Museum of Art has been recovered from New Mexico more than three decades after thieves first made off with the stolen piece. Museum Marketing Manager Gina Compitello-Moore says an antique dealer in New Mexico recently purchased the Willem de Kooning "Woman-Ochre" painting at an estate sale.
