WASHINGTON (AP) — Caitlyn Jenner is taking President Donald Trump to task for his administration's reversal of a directive on transgender access to public school bathrooms. The Trump White House has ended a directive issued during Barack Obama's presidency that told public schools to let transgender students use bathrooms and locker rooms of their chosen gender.

The report released by the Boston Foundation on Thursday says more than 33,000 families, accounting for more than 100,000 individuals, have spent at least one night in a homeless shelter since 2008. Homeless families with children are guaranteed shelter in Massachusetts.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A Philadelphia man has been hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. Police say the 43-year-old man was walking home from a store when he was struck around 7:30 p.m. Officials say the driver who struck the man did not stop. Police say the victim was thrown 50 feet. The man was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital with head trauma and two broken legs. Police are currently searching for a silver 4-door sedan with damage to the windshield and sunroof.

PARIS (AP) — Centrist French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron is pledging 60 billion euros in spending cuts and 50 billion in stimulus programs as he starts to reveal his long-awaited platform. In an interview Friday with Les Echos business daily, Macron promised 60 billion euros in spending cuts over five years, notably in health care and unemployment benefits.
