Bernie Sanders has “Berned” a major fundraising record for White House hopefuls, reporting that it passed the mark of 2.3 million contributions during Saturday night’s Democratic debate on ABC News. The previous mark, at this stage of a presidential campaign, was the 2,209,636 contributions that had been received by President Obama’s reelection campaign as of December, 31, 2011.
