(AP) — A Montana man is charged with threatening to shoot a boy for sharing information about a subplot of the new "Star Wars" movie during an online conversation. Roy sent the friend a picture of himself with a gun and threatened to come to the victim's school to shoot him, court records said. Helena's alternative high school was locked down Friday morning after students said they were afraid Roy might follow through with his threat.

(AP) — Reno-Tahoe International Airport has filed a complaint with U.S. customs officials over the treatment of a 15-year-old Mexican girl who was allegedly detained for hours without a chance to contact her family. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials told the Reno-Gazette Journal (http://tinyurl.com/qb98xd2) she was pulled aside during processing because she had overstayed her travel visa by 11 days during a previous visit.

The Commerce Department said Tuesday that the economy, as measured by the gross domestic product, expanded at a 2 percent annual rate in the July-September quarter. The government's latest estimate showed that slower growth in business stockpiles shaved 0.7 percentage point from third quarter growth, larger than the 0.6 percentage point reduction earlier estimated. WASHINGTON (AP) — Boeing has agreed to pay $12 million for failing to meet a deadline to submit service instructions that would enable airlines to reduce the risk of fuel tank explosions on hundreds of planes, among other violations, the Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday. Turkish media say 11 migrants including three children crossing the Aegean Sea to Greece have drowned after their boat capsized, and seven others were rescued by the Turkish coast guard. (AP) — A 40-year-old Indiana man who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in a distracted driving crash that killed a 13-year-old western Michigan boy has been sentenced to 18 months of probation.
