"We are concerned by the news regarding restriction of freedom of media in Georgia,"- Prime Minister of Lithuania
Irakli Garibashvili"s two-day visit in Lithuania has began. Georgian Prime Minister met with his Lithuanian counterpart, after the meeting they made statements.
The Lithuanian PM underlined that his country supports Georgia"s European integration. He also noted that the rule of law and freedom of media are key priorities and also expressed concerns regarding to the situation towards media.
" I underlined at the meeting that Lithuania fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. Illegal placement of border signs on the territory controlled by Georgia is a rough violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. We also underlined importance of reforming enforcement agencies , freedom of media and rule of law . We are concerned by the news that we have heard with regard to the restriction of media freedom in Georgia, " - said Algirdas Butkevičius.
The PM of Georgia European Integration is a cornerstone for Georgia"s internal and foreign policy.
