For all those people now found with the prospect of having to self isolate and wondering how to pass the time, can I suggest something to do that is interesting, enjoyable, educational and cheap. It is to try writing a novel based on your own life and times.
This is something that I started doing as a hobby in 1988.
It was inspired by three things: my interest and knowledge of rugby league, its history and its characters, a family tree going back to 1777 and the old saying about work that "They could write a book about this place. Читать дальше...

Can anyone tell me where I can access the site that Bilko set up that contained the heritage numbers and all the Wigan results over the ages?. Sorry if I have been missing from these pages for a while but I have had a rough period culminating in my wife passing away earlier this month.

I don't think any player is in a position to start looking for a move, as there's no guarantee the club they sign for will still exist and even if they do, I'd wager that the cap (especially in the NRL) will be a lot lower than it is now.

Last night we decided to cancel the Hotel in Toulouse we had booked via booking.com as we felt there is very little chance the game is going to be played. On canceling we had an email back from the hotel saying that we had missed cancellation by 18 hours and we had to pay in full. We never have and never will book a hotel we cannot cancel up to 24 hours before we are going to stay. Thought I would pass this on.
If you have Sky sports channels you can suspend payments.
I had read where you need to phone them and people said they got no help.
I found a website with the link and when I logged in to my sky account it had a simple button to click that suspends the sports channels. I was dubious but have now seen my April bill and yes, I will not be paying again till everything is normal.
You can still watch them though as very little on them but some interesting replays. Читать дальше...

It may have been mentioned elsewhere but I noticed yesterday that Sky give subscribers to their Sports channels the option to suspend their subscription in view of there being no live sport on. Just go to MyAccount on their website. Not something they seem to be publicising widely though.
