Got a 1 match ban for dangerous contact but on the wakey board they're going mad saying he should be banned for the season due to the injury he caused, what exactly did he do as i can't recall anything that bad at the game and it's not really in his nature to be a nasty sod

Weird that we're the "stable" club for this fixture. Not sure what going on at Leeds.

Unsuprisingly, there's a lot of "whataboutism" here which is missing the point. As CMG rightly points out, participation and attendance levels show that interest in RL is declining. This year's CC viewing figures were the lowest on record. It's therefore unsuprising (and arguably, entirely right) that interest from broadcasters does likewise. None of this is a BBC "old school tie" conspiracy - its decisions made following years and years of failures by the clubs and governing bodies that have made the sport less appealing and less relevant. In 20 years when we look back at the Golden Generation people will ask why it all collapsed, and the answer is the same as most successful teams that fade - hubris. One of the more interesting questions is how our success lasted as long as it did - from 2004 to 2017 is a hell of a long record of success, and perhaps helps explain why the fall has been so steep and potentially long-lasting.
